He holds Series 6, 7, 63, 66, and 31 securities registrations along with Life, Disability, and Health insurance licenses for several states. Matt maintains the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and ACCREDITED INVESTMENT FIDUCIARY® designation.
Matt began his career in the financial services industry in 2002 while completing an internship in Cincinnati, Ohio with the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. Matt received his Bachelor’s of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Boise State University. While still attending Boise State University, he worked as an independent Financial Advisor with Beneficial Financial Group.
Matt has appeared on local news and radio stations for various financial topics, and wrote a monthly financial column for a local newspaper. He is a former Chairman and Board Member of the Better Business Bureau Serving the Snake River Region, former Chairman and Board Member of National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors Eastern Idaho (NAIFA), and is a former Secretary/Treasurer and Board Member for the Iona Bonneville Sewer District. Matt has been featured in Financial Advisor magazine as well as AssetTV discussing financial advisor succession planning.
Matt enjoys spending time with his wife, 4 fantastic kids, family, and friends. He is an avid sports participant and spectator. He enjoys being active and participating in sports such as basketball, football, fishing, skiing, running, swimming, snowmobiling, and triathlons. He is a two-time Boise Ironman 70.3 finisher.
